Fabricate molds met to required accuracy through geometrical compensation

Our mold-making is based on EDM (electrical discharge machining) technologies for mold-shaping into hardened metal with accumulated knowhow in these 20 years and secured by "measurement & feedback"(*). Full processes from fabricating electrodes of EDM to completing molds are in our factory.

(*) An example of "measurement & feedback" is introduced at "Applications" as geometrical compensation of boxy housing case.

Advantage of mold-shaping into hardened metal

The hardened metal mold has high-hardness realizes durable molding process with keeping quality, and which must be applied for volume production.
Most of molding manufactures use pre-hardened or unhardened metal to machine molds and harden them after machining, however it involves dimensional shift that might cause serious error in products dimension or mold life.
On the other hand, the greatest feature of our process is applying hardened stainless steel for molds/dies and fabricating them by EDM (electrical discharge machining) and Wire-EDM. This is a key for distortionless molds and it contributes stable QCD in long term production at customers.

Fabricate precision inner-screw cores

Mold core making for inner-screw widely applied to precision positioning or others is our competent technology. We fabricate the cores with using "SKH51" (High-speed steel) by EDM, which can produce precision parts (*) made with glass-reinforced plastic.
(*)An example of the product is introduced as “Optimize screw torque” at "Application".

Design specified gear profiles

Optimizing mechanical parts design, especially gear design is available by experience and our CAD. Modification of gear profiles, lightening wheel (rim, hub, web) and applied material are considered in designing according to customer’s purpose.

Design and fabricate eco-friendly multi-cavity molds

Our products by multi-cavity have uniformity precisely corrected by EDM/Wire-EDM process with ensuring geometric uniformity among cavities so as to satisfy repeatability/reproducibility in high volume production.
At same time, narrow pitched allocation among cavities in a mold is an advantage of fabricate by EDM/Wire-EDM, and it not only realizes compact molding but also reduces volume of runner disposal eco-friendly.

Profiling cylinder inner/outer

Verification of circularity for products with circle or cylindrical part is usually done as "measurement & feedback" in mold-making of such products. Figures show circularity results of a product before and after geometrical compensation by 3D-Coordinate measurement machine.

Geometrical analysis by 3D-Coordinate measurements

Proofing guaranteed plane part of molded products is verified by 3D-Coordinate measurement machines.
Following figure shows flatness results of molded boxy walls before and after geometrical compensation by 3D-Coordinate measurement machines.

Scan measurement of screw threads

For designing mold of an inner screw precisely engaged with customer supplied outer screw, analysis of the given screw should be executed. The profiling such as screw threads is done by using scanning method of a 3D-Coordinate measurement machine.

Evaluation of tooth-tooth error of gears

Gear accuracy inspection equipment - Double flank gear rolling tester - shown here is provided for checking gear tooth-tooth error (runout error of gear teeth). Grading of molded gears is done by this equipment with analysis ability ranging to JGMA grade 0 (approximate AGMA Q-number 13, DIN grade 4).

Contribution of clean production to customers

Requirements of dust-free/particle-free products/parts are increasing, in electronics area such as digital cameras and in area of medical.
Our clean products produced and packed in the specified injection molding process contribute customers’ assembly quality and removing customers cleaning process.

Our action for dust-free/particle-free

Dust-free products delivered to customers are realized not only by production depending on hardware such as clean-rooms but also by our team "KAIZEN" action for maintaining or improving cleanness.
Our continuous action is widely done for normal production outside of the clean-room so that our clean products more satisfy customers.

Automated clean packing process

Our molding line has robot system with pick fingers/pads designed for each specified product, automatically doing from picking up products to putting those to packages/bags, and it is also very effective for dust-free production.
This automated packing system also realizes sorting and packing every molded products of every cavity when customers request.

Monitoring to prevent tools/products from trouble

The most important theme of automated continuous production is less trouble and recovering production before damage.
Our molding line continuously operated has monitor cameras that oversee details of motion of molding machines and form of molded products. This monitor system prevents failure of lines like "galling" or "remaining substance" in mold or and also prevents mixing any defect into post-processes such as "short shot", "sink mark" and "deformation".

Suitable designed pick-up heads

The pick-up heads must not affect any products quality while they directly touch molded parts. Our heads are designed and accurately machined suitable to each product design with considering every mold design and motion.

Full automation for quality viewpoint

Useful functions of the automation are being added while picking up products to packing, such as clean bagging, individual packing, counting and so on. Individual delivery of products per every cavity is also realized by our advanced automation.

Professional mold maintenance

Professional maintenance what is possible only by a mold manufacture is done onsite not only daily treatments such greasing or removing resin deposits but also sensitive detail overhauls.
